The Independent Business Association (IBA) actively promotes and develops the interest of the local businesses community in the Greater Nottingham area.

The IBA engages in open and objective dialogue for both business and the wider local community by building strategic partnerships with appropriate organisations to provide a conduit for networking and the brokerage of services to its membership.

The IBA actively promotions and encourages f opportunity for free market trading between members of the IBA and to expand the organisation for the benefit of the membership and the wider community within the IBA’s geographical area.

To actively promote the work of the organisation by developing partnership and interaction with the appropriate bodies to develop and facilitate the following objectives:

• Providing a local grass-roots up ‘voice’ and ‘vision’ for local businesses

• To develop and increase inter-trading business opportunity

• Enhancement of educational and training opportunities

• Improvement in employment opportunities

• Promote racial, cultural and religious diversity

• Environmental improvements and safety of inner city and rural living

The IBA support is linked to all the major service providers, to assist, help and sustain the local business community in Greater Nottingham; through direct business interaction.
